Veteran hiring commitment
Committed to helping America's military veterans find work
In 1978, a small group of doctors sought to address the underlying health care disparities seasonal & migrant farm workers were facing. Over the next four decades, Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic grew to serve not only the Yakima Valley, but also Spokane, Portland, Prosser, Pasco, Walla Walla, Hermiston, Salem, Newberg & Woodburn. Our patient base expanded to include all families facing the challenges of accessing high quality, low cost health care. Today, YVFWC serves more than 206,000 people & has expanded care to include dental, orthodontia, nutrition counseling, & behavioral health. The underlying issues of poverty are complex & we offer community programs that offer assistance with employment & training, afterschool education, housing & energy assistance, weatherization, tobacco cessation & mobile medical/dental clinics. Our name reflects our modest beginning, but our network has grown as wide & deep as our dedication to serve & our commitment to care for those who need us.
