Things are all-around tiptop over at The Top-Flite Golf Company. The firm is one of the top producers of golf balls, making it a cozy fit for leading club manufacturer and parent, Callaway Golf. In addition to its D2, Gamer, and XL series brands of golf balls, Top-Flite Golf also makes golf clubs and accessories (bags, gloves). Its Ben Hogan line consists of premium golf clubs, such as the Big Ben and Apex series. Top-Flite Golf tour players include Lee Trevino, Jim Furyk, and Ricky Barnes. In 2003 the company, which was then part of Spalding Holdings Corp.(SHC), filed for bankruptcy and later that year was sold to Callaway. Top-Flite's parent has been working to boost the golf ball maker's profits.
