Description Outremer provides telephone service over there. The Paris-based telecom operator offers phone (fixed-line and mobile), data, Internet, and TV services to the overseas French territories of Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Réunion, and Mayotte. Its more than 450,000 customers include individuals, businesses, and government entities. Mobile services account for more than half of Outremer's revenue; fixed-line phone is the second largest category. The company competes against larger telecoms on price - some of its services cost half as much as those from industry stalwarts Orange or Bouygues. The company was formed in 1998 and went public in 2007.
