Description Sunny Days is one of the nation's leading early intervention and autism services providers, serving children with developmental needs in New York, Oklahoma, California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Founded in 1994, it currently has over 2,000 active practitioners. In the past two years, Sunny Days has provided over 1,000,000 individual sessions.
Sunny Days was founded by two healthcare professionals — Joyce Salzberg, LCSW and Donna Maher, RN — whose passion for quality healthcare is core to its mission.
We provide services in natural environments, wherever children and families typically find themselves: home, child care environments or other community locations (parks, playgrounds, shopping centers, etc.).
We offer a full range of services: physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychological services, and special instruction services. We tailor these services to specifically target each child's needs with an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Our practitioners design intervention strategies that are built around a family's daily routines and activities. Depending upon location, Sunny Days can provide all necessary services, including initial evaluations (to determine eligibility) and all IFSP authorized services, to individuals of all developmental levels ages 0-3.
Additionally, our Sunny Days Sunshine Centers in New Jersey, Oklahoma, and California offer children and their families a place for developmental services and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) therapy. This new, one-of-a-kind center is designed to promote positive behavior, increase quality of life, and enable individuality; the Sunshine Centers embrace each child's individual needs. Sunshine Centers are dedicated to children experiencing challenges with learning, social skills, sensory processing, speech/language difficulties, and/or motor development.
