It produced the world's first disposable flashlight, called the Life Lite, in 1969. It also makes headlamps for hands-free lighting. Its products are sold at AutoZone, CVS, Home Depot, Lowe's, Sears, and Walgreen's stores, among many other retailers. The company was founded by chairman Paul Garrity, Sr., in 1967. In April 2006, Garrity was acquired by Duracell, which was later folded into its parent Procter & Gamble.
