Description Trubion Pharmaceuticals' aim is TRU. The company is developing TRU-015, a clinical-stage drug for the treatment of autoimmune diseases including rheumatoid arthritis (currently in late-stage clinical trials) and lupus. Trubion, which was founded in 1999 as Genecraft, is also developing a version of the drug (TRU-016) for chronic lymphocytic leukemia. The company develops its drug candidates using its proprietary drug assembly technology called small modular immunopharmaceutical, or SMIP. Some of its development programs are conducted through partnerships with other drug companies. Trubion has agreed to be acquired by Emergent BioSolutions in a deal worth about $135 million.
