Description Capital Product Partners (CPLP) banks on crisscrossing the high seas. The company owns and operates a fleet of more than 15 tankers capable of carrying crude oil, refined oil products, and edible oils and chemicals. Its fleet, which has an overall capacity of more than 800,000 deadweight tons (DWT), is chartered under medium- to long-term contracts, and bareboat charters (minus crew or provisions). Customers include BP Shipping, Morgan Stanley Capital Group, and Overseas Shipholding Group. CPLP acquired Crude Carriers in 2011 in a stock only deal. CPLP's vessels are managed by a subsidiary of Greek shipping company Capital Maritime & Trading Corp., which owns roughly a 46% interest in CPLP.
