McBride Orthopedic Hospital has a long-standing legacy of excellence in orthopedic care, rooted in more than a century of service to Oklahoma communities. Our story began in 1923 when Dr. Earl D. McBride established McBride Clinic in a small Oklahoma City home—creating one of the first orthopedic-focused facilities in the southwestern United States. From those early days, McBride has continued to lead by innovation, expertise, and a commitment to a patient-first approach to care. As orthopedic medicine advanced, McBride grew alongside it. The organization expanded through the Depression era and beyond, opening a dedicated hospital in 1939 and continuing to evolve to meet the needs of a growing patient population. Today, McBride Orthopedic Hospital remains physician owned and focused on orthopedics, carrying forward a legacy that blends tradition with forward-thinking care. Opened in 2005, McBride Orthopedic Hospital is a licensed 68-bed specialty hospital featuring advanced surgical suites, a 24/7 Level IV emergency department, and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. Continued campus growth includes the Medical Office Building, opened in 2018, and a state-of-the-art Outpatient Surgery Center opened in 2019—allowing patients to receive coordinated, high-quality care from diagnosis through recovery. Just as important as our commitment to patients is our commitment to the people who work here. McBride is a place where professionals can build rewarding, long-term careers. We offer a collaborative environment that values expertise, teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement, supported by experienced leadership and a shared commitment to excellence. Employees are encouraged to grow their skills, contribute ideas, and take pride in being part of a highly specialized organization known for quality and outcomes.
