Description Life at sea is A-OK with Teekay. With a fleet of about 140 vessels, the company is an oceangoing global transporter of crude oil and gas. It also offers offshore oil production, storage, and offloading services. In addition to its conventional crude oil tankers, Teekay operates shuttle tankers, which move oil from offshore platforms to refineries; floating storage and off-take (FSO) vessels; and floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessels. It also maintains a fleet of liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers. Teekay primarily serves oil and gas companies around the world through both long-term, fixed-rate contracts and spot charters. The company was founded in 1973.
