Castle Fuels Acquires Sands Bulk Transport Castle Fuels (2008) Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Kamloops direct-to-locomotive (DTL) refueling business of Sands Bulk Sales Ltd. with a tentative effective date of November 1, 2023. This acquisition will support the continued growth plan for Castle Fuels. The Sands team fits in perfectly with our vision and mission and values. The business will continue to operate from the Kamloops CN railyard and will service both CN and Rocky Mountain Rail operations. The current team consists of 14 seasoned full-time drivers, 2 relief drivers and the Operations Manager, Daryl Woods, who has been critical to the success of the business for nearly 7 years.
