Bournewood Health Systems is a private behavioral health organization in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts founded in 1884 with an extraordinary history of continuous operation and legacy of excellent care. Trauma-informed treatment is the foundation of our approach for adults and adolescents with mental health, substance use and co-occurring conditions. All Bournewood programs are offered in safe, respectful and dignified environments.

Our main campus in Chestnut Hill is on a beautiful wooded 12-acre campus. Treatment units are located in several Victorian buildings and patients often say it feels like home. We offer inpatient and partial hospital programs at the Brookline campus; and we offer partial hospital programs at our other sites in Dedham, Lowell and Woburn.
