Description Don't blame telecom carriers if they get carried away with Carrier Access. Local-exchange providers, ISPs, and wireless specialists use the company's digital access equipment to enable voice and high-speed data services. Its products -- which include multiplexers, access devices, and microwave radio equipment -- enable carriers to connect end users to digital phone systems, increase data transmission speeds, and integrate voice and data services. Carrier Access sells both directly to service providers and through distributors. The company agreed to be acquired by Turin Networks for $92.7 million late in 2007.
