Congratulations to our VP of Health Services, Jennifer Sato, LVN, for joining the board of the American Assisted Living Nurses Association! The AALNA is the only nationally recognized organization that honors and includes as full members, Licensed Practical Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses. In her role with Oakmont, Jen oversees all clinical processes and procedures for Assisted Living and Memory Care. During her four-year tenure with us, she has led the clinical team through the opening of 12 new development communities and the acquisition of 50 more, and she currently oversees the care of more than 8,000 residents. Jen, who has dedicated her life to nursing for the past 15 years, also sits on CALA’s Education Committee. In her own words: “It’s an honor to be part of the amazing nurse leaders across the nation and work alongside them on the board of directors for AALNA. When I started as VP of Health Services for Oakmont more than 2.5 years ago, I made the commitment to our Health Services leaders to create pathways of growth, build a culture around performance and commitment, and give our nurse leaders a voice.
