I have been working at 1-800-Radiator full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You worked alone for the most part of the day. If you like to stay busy it can be fun at times.

    Cons

The owner is a Tyrant. I have never in my life seen or worked for someone that treated others with as much disrespect as this man.

    Advice to Management

Fire yourself. Its quite obvious that you despise the business you are in and think you are above anyone that chooses to work there.

    I worked at 1-800-Radiator full-time

    Pros

Environment was fun and laid back, but got fast-paced at times. Great foot-in-the-door sales job. The software they use is top of the line, and you can track how well you're doing with your sales.

    Cons

Mostly a desk job. Not a huge career stepping stone.

    I have been working at 1-800-Radiator full-time

    Pros

Busy company great customers I really enjoy my job but wish there were benefits. Other than that I like to deal with the shops.

    Cons

There are no benefits for employees. It makes it very difficult to get outside heath insurance, or even retirement. May have to move on because of this.

    Advice to Management

    Get benefits

I worked at 1-800-Radiator (Less than a year)

    Pros

This was a fun job to work at. All I did was put away and deliver parts around the metro Detroit area.

    Cons

Pay was crap. Worked a lot of hours. Had to come in on Saturday mornings. Drive 100-200 miles a day. Had to deliver to sketchy places in Detroit

    Advice to Management

Pay your people better. If somethings starts to wear out on the car, fix it. And don't make the driver feel completely responsible. Cars break; especially if used that hard.

I have been working at 1-800-Radiator full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Basketball court available; nice people at support roles

    Cons

Franchise owners were unqualified and stupid,
    Management was awful and deceitful
    Owner's sons are incredibly entitled
Not a lot of learning going on - limited sharing of tacit knowledge
    Limited feedback from supervisors
Low pay, pathetic vacation time, laughable benefits, demeaning people

    Advice to Management

    Try to care about employees

    Pros

Opportunities to learn new things. Freedom to go out and learn different areas of the business if you're curious and have the time. Very laid back and casual environment. Hard work will put you on the radar.

    Cons

Very little guidance or training. No structure in regards to advancement. Blatant nepotism. Pay is well under market value (probably stems from the fact that new hires are generally fresh out of college with little to no bargaining power). Some of the managers are atrocious at managing their team. People can easily get away with doing the bare-minimum just by looking busy. Work/life balance has huge swings. No transparency.

    Advice to Management

Stop demeaning your employees and be more professional.

    I worked at 1-800-Radiator full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

As far as I can see there are no pros to working here they really have no idea what they want from their reps they treat there customers as if they don't matter and except a positive result

    Cons

Management has no idea how to manage in a professional way and when you complain it falls on deaf ears and theirs no HR someone should take them to court

    Advice to Management

    None they don't listen
