    I worked at 1-800-Radiator full-time

    Pros

Environment was fun and laid back, but got fast-paced at times. Great foot-in-the-door sales job. The software they use is top of the line, and you can track how well you're doing with your sales.

    Cons

Mostly a desk job. Not a huge career stepping stone.

I worked at 1-800-Radiator (Less than a year)

    Pros

This was a fun job to work at. All I did was put away and deliver parts around the metro Detroit area.

    Cons

Pay was crap. Worked a lot of hours. Had to come in on Saturday mornings. Drive 100-200 miles a day. Had to deliver to sketchy places in Detroit

    Advice to Management

Pay your people better. If somethings starts to wear out on the car, fix it. And don't make the driver feel completely responsible. Cars break; especially if used that hard.

    Pros

Basketball court available; nice people at support roles

    Cons

Franchise owners were unqualified and stupid,
    Management was awful and deceitful
    Owner's sons are incredibly entitled
Not a lot of learning going on - limited sharing of tacit knowledge
    Limited feedback from supervisors
Low pay, pathetic vacation time, laughable benefits, demeaning people

    Advice to Management

    Try to care about employees

    Pros

Opportunities to learn new things. Freedom to go out and learn different areas of the business if you're curious and have the time. Very laid back and casual environment. Hard work will put you on the radar.

    Cons

Very little guidance or training. No structure in regards to advancement. Blatant nepotism. Pay is well under market value (probably stems from the fact that new hires are generally fresh out of college with little to no bargaining power). Some of the managers are atrocious at managing their team. People can easily get away with doing the bare-minimum just by looking busy. Work/life balance has huge swings. No transparency.

    Advice to Management

Stop demeaning your employees and be more professional.

    Cons

Lacks structure for career path, and not many opportunities for advancement.

    Advice to Management

More communication with your employees. More company transparency.

    I worked at 1-800-Radiator full-time

    Pros

Job experience, casual work environment, free coffee, clean toilet, and a basketball hoop?

    Cons

Well below market value for posted positions, huge turnover, no training, no advancement, no raises, minimal PTO, sub par benefits, large work load for minimal staff. Upper management shows favoritism and does not invest in employee well being.

    Advice to Management

INVEST IN YOUR WORKFORCE.. create a company culture that will increase employee work life balance. Promote within, train within, cross functional training, education benefit, bonus structute, create goals that involve monetary bonuses and not just lunch. And for God sakes... at the very minimum give your staff SNACKS AND COFFEE!

    I worked at 1-800-Radiator full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are none there are no good reasons I can think of to work here rather sell franchise then fight the competition

    Cons

Will sell franchise to competition and put you out of a job after you've worked very hard to grow there business

    Advice to Management

Get some back bone and learn how to stand up to the competition instead of laying down and selling out to them
