    Pros

Original "regime" of Management was pro-employee. Opportunity for growth, ok environment

new regime of management does not understand the products, company morale at all time low, no raises in 3 years

    Advice to Management

    communicate with your employees

I have been working at API Heat Transfer full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Somewhat interesting work
    - Decent Products and internal production

    Cons

    - Too many to list ...

    - Worthless and corrupt upper management that is often hypocritical in their decision making. This new regime is awful and is destroying the company from within in order to quickly cash out their stock options and sell the company after re-financing on their loans twice now (check with Moody's reports for details)

    - Counter-productive and incompetent HR that often acts in bad faith. If someone from the API Heat Transfer HR group ever approaches you for a job, don't take the bait!

    - Very high turnover and often positions are left vacant to the point were entire groups cannot function

    - Very low pay and ever decreasing benefits. HR will lie to you in order to get you to sign on the dotted line

    - Outdated IT and ERP system (minor but it is a problem)

    Advice to Management

    - Please leave such that those remaining can work together to slowly fix the terrible mess you have made of a once proud company

I have been working at API Heat Transfer full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Clean plant, easy work.

    Cons

No room for advancement, creating stagnant employees with no desire to strive. Mainly due to foreman not doing there jobs and letting there "buddies" get away with murder and only offering them overtime.

    Advice to Management

Need more leaders that know how to encourage people to work. Stop with the favoritism.

I worked at API Heat Transfer full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

paycheck was steady. The chair was comfortable. The products and customers are interesting. Many of the internal business systems are up to date, although few are used to their potential. And the chair was comfortable. And the paycheck was steady.

    Cons

Constant infighting among departments all across the corporation. Anarchy. The initial sale of API and subsequent sales have demoralized the employees to the point of dispair. The internal attitude is more of survival by fighting rather than helping as a team.

    Advice to Management

Go away. Go to the competiors.

    Pros

    Some Co-Workers - that's about it.

    Cons

Pay, Management oblivious about everything, benefits are worthless. Financially in the hole.

I have been working at API Heat Transfer full-time

    Pros

Had some good bosses in the past that help me to further my career and allowed me to create some challenging programs.

    Cons

Having management give unrealistic goals and setup for failure. Software projects were pushed aside to do engineering contracts and goals on projects were undervalued. Boss would as for timeline but push other work into work week, with no knowledge how many hours of work are to be non-development time.

    Advice to Management

Read people's personal reviews, take the employees ideas and thoughts seriously. Make the goals of the person also be accountable to that manager. That way, they would not set someone up for failure.
