Open work environment, sometimes it is great but I found that seating arrangements are important.

    Advice to Management

I had a wonderful experience at Acquirent. It was my first job after graduating college and I am grateful for that because I learned quite a bit. I had 3 different roles within a year and the transition was never stressful. I always felt that I could be honest and transparent with management which is a rare quality that a company has. I was able to be multi-faceted and gain experience in multiple areas. I had a great experience all-in-all.

I worked at Acquirent full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -- good, lively environment
    --free snacks
    --decent benefits
    --enthusiastic upper management
    --easily accessible via public transit
--committed to training and helping employees grow

    Cons

--total inconsistency in quality of middle management
--often feels like a popularity contest/"high school"
--not much transparency in terms of account stability, pay structure, etc.
--daily morning meaning can be repetitive
--lots of moving parts; if you're unlucky, you'll change accounts relatively often
    --unprofessionalism/nepotism gets overlooked if you're well-liked
--management inconsistent; random micro-management peppered in
--people can get pretty catty and "anonymously" complain about one another

    Advice to Management

    --pick your battles more effectively
--promote people based on merit, not on popularity
--pay more attention to unhealthy team dynamics
--do not micromanage people with proven work ethic; it drives them away

    Cons

I will be honest that any “cons” I might have are really just trivial compared to other work environments I have experienced.

Former Employee - Anonymous in Evanston, IL

I worked at Acquirent full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They take the work/life balance seriously, 8-5 and at 5 you go home, there's no pressure to stick around and continue to sell.

If you're new to sales this will get you an introduction

    Snacks in the kitchen

    Presidents Club perks and outings

    Cons

90% of the accounts are appointment setting accounts and not start-to-finish sales so this could be an issue for future employers

The sales training is not ideal for those who've done sales in the past, they use sales videos from the 80's and even when there's a manager teaching a class I feel it just scratches the surface of the topic without getting into real strategy or approach

No "real" internal growth, I will give them credit that they have tried harder in the recent years but when you get a "promotion" your pay check stays the same

    Advice to Management

Please keep the scheduled one-on-one's, there would be times when I would go months without one for whatever reason.

The morning meetings were cool my first few months there but they drain everyone, if you could limit them to just when Joe has clients in that would be best, I think most people just want to get in and start working.
