I worked at Adcomm full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Sometimes the toilets work. Sometimes the air conditioner works too.

      Cons

I worked for Adcomm three years. I was miserable and afraid appearing miserable would lose me my job. Everyday was hell. The building stank. Lunches and breaks were at the discretion of management. And most days discretion meant none. When given the chance to move in a leadership position, I made the mistake of taking it, hoping I could make Hell slightly tolerable for everyone. I was laid off from the position on Dec...

    • "Shady company, Shady practices. STAY AWAY!"

      StarStarStarStarStar
        Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Adcomm

        Pros

They usually have good inventory levels of phones.

        Cons

Accessories are outdated. Pay is below par at store level. You will only make money if you work at a busy store. Majority of pay is commission based. They will deduct your pay for inventory loss and bad store audits. Sales integrity is very bad. You are told to tell customers to disconnect a line just to add a line for a promotion. You are told to slam 5 lines with free phones even if customer does not want them. Customers...

I have been working at Adcomm full-time

        Pros

I started in this company almost 2 years ago. It definitely pays the bills. You do get raises every now and then. If you don't like where you're at, you have the ability to change departments. Most of your coworkers are very friendly. They offer prizes a lot. A 50in TV was given away yesterday.

        Cons

Don't get comfortable, processes change often. The call center has a tendency to have a negative energy throughout. A lot of times changes are known in advance but details are kept secret until the day the process changes or the day before. Strict dress code and attendance policies.

        Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. A lot of times we have some ideas that can really help but when you don't listen to us, the flow of things becomes a mess.

        Advice to Management

I am updating this review that I originally wrote in Jan of 18. I still know and communicate with a number of employees that still work there. I have since learned a number of thing since being layed off during Christmas time of 17. While struggling through a tough sales year the decision was made to lay off employees as a cost saving measure. While this is an understandable measure, the executive team terminated it's...
