    great company to work for, everyone is helpful and willing to teach you. many opportunities to move up in the company

    during the busy season don't expect to go home on time.

    Good pay
    Good hours
    Good benefits

    Cons

    Management is unpredictable
    Safety can get thrown out the window unless it creeps back up. Automatically the techs fault.
    3 writes ups and your out no matter who you are.
    Decision making highly questionable.
    Raises more then a dollar are near impossible.
    Not much room for growth.
    Labor intensive.
    Wacky hours

    Advice to Management

    The techs work long hours, deal with the customers in person, and handle all the bull. Trust your techs

    I worked at Aggreko full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good basic sales training, got along well with team members. Learned how to operate under immense pressure

    Cons

    Totally replaceable footsoldier. Personally knew more than five people that left the company in less than one year. On call, even as a sales rep, for a WEEK at a time. Highly stressful, and zero work-life balance

    Advice to Management

    Inspire your employees instead of lighting fires under them. Realize that your employees are people and not mindless "means to an end"

    Pros

    There used to be pros but the good management either quit or got canned and replaced with morons

    Cons

    Everything. They care more about making a buck than taking care of their people. The management is clueless and they are running the company into the ground. I give it 5 years before they are bought out by United Rentals. If you want to work for a good rental company that cares about their employees, go to United

    Advice to Management

    Get a clue and get rid of the middle and upper management that is running the company into the ground. Start taking care of your people like you used to.

    A lot of confusion with business outlook.
    Working in this utility service industry brings day to day stress.

    Remember to stick with what Aggreko is good at. Don't try to be more like competition by offering more and more.

    Pros

    There is good teamwork when there needs to be but with all the changes that is strained. This business to pick a direction and go.

    Cons

    Continuous cuts have too many people distracted and looking at other options. It has been 3 years of instability and constant change.

    Figure it out

    Pros

    Awesome people on a local level, they really care about you personally and you become kimd of a local family. Good benefits and wellness programs

    Cons

    Sales and operations are disconnected from each other. Management and Leadership have an omnious apearance of being above and better than the workers. Leaders are completely disconnected from true everyday operations but constantly have meetings to improve these operations to appease their shareholders at the expense of their most valueable stakeholders, their employees who execute the rentals and bring in the money!

    Advice to Management

    Less talk, more appreciation and understanding of the needs of the people on the ground doing the actual work. Keep communication open through out organization, not just for upper management. Less talk about action and more actual action!

    Pros

    Fun coworkers, good benefits and wellness options. Steady to fast paced work environment. Relaxed culture.

    Cons

    The organization has changed over the years. The "orange blood" thought is dissipating over time. It seems that the focus is not about boosting or keeping morale high, it's focused on budget only. Many employees are feeling forgotten about. There aren't development opportunities for everyone who has proven to be valued workers. So many things that drew me in to work for the company are not available at the time due to budget constraints. It makes it pretty difficult to wait out the storm when there isn't any progression for the lower level workers. Salaries can be on the lower side for some lower level workers.

    Advice to Management

    Provide opportunities to keep employees engaged. Additionally, if you make a promise to an employee and they give you all of their hard work and enthusiastic spirit, provide what has been promised or at least face the employee honestly as to why certain promises could not be fulfilled at the time.

    Pros

    Nice bonus structure, good people on my level, good equipment and service

    Cons

    Poor management, very dishonest, would change requirements for bonuses at last minute, no loyalty to employees

    Be more considerate of your employees they are the ones that make you money and keep you going.
