I worked at Apple Bank part-time

    Pros

A great staff in a small suburban branch allowed interaction with all types of customers. New systems kept up to date with changing banking needs and regulations as well as competitive with other banks.

    Cons

Opportunities for advancement are limited if not willing to relocate to another branch/office

I worked at Apple Bank full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

There is no Pros to work here

    Cons

Bullying, lack of customers, consistent gossiping mostly by upper management creating a negative atmosphere, no growth in positions except by nepotism ,harassment, and theft

    Advice to Management

The two managers I worked for were best friends , this created a very tense environment and the managers were constantly covering for each other. Homophobic remarks and crass comments were of second nature and executable by everyone in this branch. Customers information were constantly being left around by careless employees who said they were not paid enough to care.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Apple Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hours align more with traditional banker hours. Usually Sundays are closed. Lots of holidays off. Salary paid even at entry level. Bi Weekly pay.

    Cons

Not enough sick/personal time. Old fashioned, computer software very outdated. Too much paper trail in the era of technology. Hard to advance, people have been sitting on positions for more than 20 years, in some cases. Horrible benefits package, pretty much non existent. Cheaper to pay for your doctor out of pocket.

    Advice to Management

Spend more money into your company, to advance software for customer convenience.

I have been working at Apple Bank full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great for those who want a career in banking and get their feet wet.

    Cons

Pay is less than average. Software and methods are always a step-behind other companies. Awful health benefits.

    Advice to Management

You shouldn't pay long-time employees for "what they've done." Instead you should pay "What you think they're going to do." Otherwise it creates "content feelings" which lead to laziness.

    Pros

Decent work location, flexibility in work schedule and good upfront time for vacation if you are an officer with decent healthcare benefits

    Cons

Non competitive with salary in comparison to other mid size local banks in the new York city metro area. Branch Management can be incompetent in certain districts
