I have been working at Appleton Talent full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company and your bosses really go above and beyond to show you they care and value you. The company sponsors a gym membership, and if you opt in you have to go with a partner - that sponsors a lot of camaraderie. The bosses meet with you frequently to ensure you're happy and feeling fulfilled. They help you reach success.

    Cons

If you can't handle a lot getting thrown at you from the bat, you might not do well. This is a very fast-paced, collaborative environment.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, and continue to invest in employee happiness. Happy employees will in turn deliver results!

I have been working at Appleton Talent full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Appleton is such a rewarding company to work for. For those who can thrive in a fast paced work environment, love to be challenged, and are motivated to excel the sky is the limit.

    Cons

Depending on how you look at things, the pace at which the company operates could be seen as a con to some. One must be able to think quickly on their feet and work efficiently to excel.

    Advice to Management

    None

I have been working at Appleton Talent part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are not any pros I can think of at this time.

    Cons

#1: After you are hired, no one will ever return your call. You can leave messages, but your call will not be returned.

#2: After you are hired, you will not get a response to your emails either. You will need to send at least 5 emails and then you MIGHT get a response. The response will be "I am sorry. I am very busy. I do not have time to respond to your email. I will get back with you later. Thank you."

#3: After you are hired, you are required to complete work for which you are not paid. This is illegal.

#4: After you are hired, you are given written instructions on work to be completed (you are not paid for this work, which is illegal). The instructions look like they are written by a 9th grader to her BFF about her crush. Constant changes in formatting.....font type, font size, font color, font style, highlighting, etc. It was completely unprofessional in appearance and a totally distracting as you are reading it.

#5. The instructions are not correct. Don't bother pointing that out to them because it will lead to a conversation similar to the one I had below:

Me: I was told to call this number and let you know I have completed this work and required training (I have completed all of this at no cost to you! You are welcome!).
Person Paid To Answer Phones (rudely): You are not supposed to call this number.
Me (politely): This is the number listed in the instructions. I am only following the instructions sent to me.
Person Paid To Answer Phones (sarcastically): You must have misunderstood the email.
Me (still being polite): Let me read you the instructions (read the instructions to her). Would you like me to send you the email so you can review it?
Person Paid To Answer Phones (rudely): No. Send an email to this address and let her know you are done. She will review it and get back to you in a day or two (more like 3 weeks, but ok....)
Me: Ok. Thank you for your help. I will do that instead.

Punchline to the joke: You send it to the same email address that ignored your first 4 emails and then told you they were super busy.

All in all, my communication with this company has been one instance after another of poor communication, incorrect communication, rude communication, slow communication or no communication. And failure to pay for worked hours.

    Not impressed.

    Advice to Management

    #1. Answer messages.
    #2. Answer emails.
    #3. Follow the law.
#4. Have someone review your instructions. Let's set a higher standard for professionalism here.
#5. Sarcasm and rudeness are never appropriate. Retrain anyone who might be answering your phones to hold themselves to a higher standard for professionalism as well.
