I have been working at ArcTouch full-time

    Pros

As you've probably read in other reviews, ArcTouch has a great company culture. Along with the jeans wearing, Sonos listening environment, ArcTouch has a lot of cool perks. We get lunch catered on Tuesdays (occasionally replaced by chair massages), have thirsty Thursday and WFH Friday's, every Friday. The people at this company are very easy to work with, everyone is truly on the same team.

Along with great perks the management team has a sincere approach to helping employees build a career and grow within ArcTouch.

    Cons

The office location is far for those commuting on Bart and parking is expensive in nearby lots.

    I worked at ArcTouch full-time

    Pros

Amazing perks including work from home Fridays, yummy snacks and drinks, weekly catered lunches, and flexible PTO. Friendly, laid back workplace. Brazilian employees get to travel to SF. Lots of projects come through to get a good mixture of apps to IOT or whatever is new.

    Cons

PTO needs approval 6mo beforehand if a week or more. Recent changes in expectations.. if you are sick and take a day off, your team needs to do your work so the deadlines get met. If there is a company meeting, expected to work overtime to make up for time away from client projects. Sometimes teams get moved around mid project without notice sometimes makes things more difficult. Essence in the air that it is more important to make money than make the client happy. Many times need to ship a product before all the bugs are worked out, which just makes you feel uneasy, but you are already assigned to another project so it is out of your hands.

    Advice to Management

Ask your employees what they want, what would make the company more effective, don't decide for them, make them feel empowered and move forward together as a team. No more surprises.

    I worked at ArcTouch full-time

    Pros

There are many great employees that work there and have alot of talent. All people are very dedicated because they want to do good work and build reputation.

    Cons

Employees are not allowed to reach their potential. Teams micro managed by upper management. CEO is irrational with big ego and not know how to run a company. Company growth is restricted. A joke at company is CEO swoops and poops on everything and causes much stress, frustration and un-necessary fire drills with employees

    Advice to Management

if you take care of your people, they will take care of the customers and the company. In turn, revenue will go up as well as everyones happiness there. happy employees deliver happy customers and projects.

    Pros

Amazing culture! Best work environment I've experienced in over thirty years in the work force. Management is transparent, truly concerned about their employees' well being, and goes to great lengths to make coming to work a positive experience.

    Cons

After a year on the job I can't come up with a single con.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and don't let anyone tamper with the "Secret Sauce" recipe.

I have been working at ArcTouch full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - They take good care of employees

    - People oriented, everybody is very approachable

    - Engaging environment

    - Variety of project to work on, for engineers and including product manager we get exciting and variety of projects to work on

    - Excellent medical insurance plan, so literally save couple of hundreds of dollar a month

    - Competitive salary

    - I like the open communication from management, they have monthly company meeting.

    - Every Wednesday we have lunch in office is nice opportunity to connect with all employee and talking to management.

    - For engineers it is great place to work on technologies and most of the times work on projects from scratch.

    - Definitely work life balance is great plus, which is not easy to find in bay area companies with competitive salaries.

    Cons

So far haven't found any, office is not that big, but you don't feel it as all the facilities are available like any bay area company you have kitchen with snacks, beer, nice coffee machine; plus you can always ask something you want in kitchen.

    Advice to Management

It would be great to have food two times a week instead of once.

I have been working at ArcTouch full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great work/life balance, company culture and benefits. Projects are usually short (a few months) and you get the chance to work on different technologies and platforms related to mobile apps. Great work environment with lots of smart people.

    Cons

It could be difficult to grow inside the company, especially for employees often on staff augmentation projects. Currently, no upper level engineering positions (like "Principal Engineer" or "Software Architect") or engineering managerial roles (like "Director of Engineering" or "VP of Engineering") are available.
Developers on staff augmentation projects for extended periods can feel disconnected from the rest of the company.

    Advice to Management

Provide monthly updates on all projects to keep everyone posted on what's going on.
Regular one-on-one sessions with employees could improve engagement and clarify the vision of the business.

I have been working at ArcTouch full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

ArcTouch has a really laid back atmosphere, everyone is friendly with each other. Working nights or weekends is rare and the projects are fun and interesting. Management is very flexible with advanced notice of scheduling needs.

The new unlimited PTO policy is great.

    Cons

Schedules can change quickly depending on client needs and internal staffing.

Employees on long-term staff augmentation projects can feel isolated from the rest of the company.

    Advice to Management

Management needs more one-on-one time with employees on long-term staff augmentation projects.

I have been working at ArcTouch full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The place has lots of smart people and fortunately no self-inflated ego BS from the other engineers that I've seen at prior places I've worked at. Excellent work/life balance. This ISN'T a start-up grind.

    Cons

Sometimes you don't know what your next project is until a day or so before.

    Advice to Management

Monthly all-company meeting is great, but sometimes we're going more than a month between them.
