Pros

For the most part, the people are what make Text100 so great. They're smart, hardworking, creative, and most importantly, they're a fun group to be around. Combine that with a client roster full of some pretty impressive names and a great new office space in the Financial District, and you'd think it'd be the perfect environment for anyone that wants to advance their career at an established agency with a solid reputation. Unfortunately, this isn't necessarily the case...

Cons

It's a shame that for all the positives there are about working at Text100 overall, a few bad apples can completely change your entire experience. You'll be hit or miss here depending on the team—some are unfortunately led by senior "leaders" with much lower values than others, which has resulted in an incredibly unmotivating and dishonest work environment. If you want to work for someone that has adopted "playing favorites" as the trend, then this is the place for you. You'll watch in awe as a select few get away with completely inappropriate behavior without any repercussions of their actions, while others get berated for walking into a meeting two minutes late after their last meeting ran long. Unless you're willing to roll over and act like senior leadership on this team is king, guess which one of those you'll be...

Pros

Opportunity to work with large clients. Smart people. Amazing vacation allotment and benefits. Opportunities for growth. Management appreciates hard working employees.

Cons

Flawed review process. Cliquishness breeds favoritism and distrust among "outliers." Fake, smarmy people.

Serious management issues...

Pros

-Lots of opportunity to do work above your experience/job title -Increasingly impressive client roster -Lots of people on the team are very smart and have great work ethic

Cons

-There's a real vacuum of leadership. Management-level staff were either incompetent, extreme micro-managers, or very strong and aggressive personalities. -Career growth for junior employees was stifled. Bringing up raises or promotions was met with shaming and standards were impossibly high for the routine promo cycles. -The setting of unrealistic expectations for clients was rampant. Senior staff would over-promise and it would fall on junior staff to scramble to deliver. When goals weren't met, junior staff was expected to fix the issues created by an overzealous management team -Favoritism is wide-spread. It was commonly accepted that those who had a positive personal relationship with the CEO went far, while others who did similar (if not better) work saw little upward mobility
