    Cons

The firm is relatively new within the consulting industry as a whole, but you still get the opportunity to work with many experienced professionals.

I have been working at Argopoint part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are tons of opportunities at Argopoint. You'll need to be entrepreneurial and resourceful to keep up, but that's the name of the game. I've worked in just about every area of the firm and have gained significant (and valuable) experience as a result. The culture is great - a lot of team building and shared goals. We like to have a laugh or two... if not 10. Having constant access to upper-level management is a great element of the firm in itself.

    Cons

Things can pile up rather quickly, so you'll need to stay on top of it all. There will certainly be times when last-minute projects will pop up and they'll need to be taken care of.

    Advice to Management

Stick to the "academic" approach, it's working. Management does a good job at understanding employee's strengths and weaknesses and that is key to leveraging everyone's abilities while offering a great experience.

    Cons

    Clients can be demanding

    Advice to Management

Continue to publish and share thought leadership articles and marketing to solidify the Argopoint brand as "the go to company" in legal managment consulting

I worked at Argopoint full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Daily access to senior management improves development opportunities and grows your consulting skill set more quickly
    - Working with big name clients, which is something I didn't expect to get at a small firm
    - Significant responsibility for junior members of the team
    - Good work/life balance; hours were extremely reasonable for management consulting

    Cons

    - Small firm means you have to do everything, including tedious work
    - Lack of formal training programs again due to size

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Argopoint full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Argopoint is a Boston-based boutique counsulting firm with a big (read: global) footprint. Its history is that it is basically a Bain-spin-off. The firm is on the "cutting edge" of corporate legal consulting - developing new ideas and approaches to improve a vital corporate function that can benefit from sound management advice and support. The work environment is quite good. Colleagues are *very* bright (although it sometimes seems like a Harvard College reunion) and good to work with on a day-to-day basis. Interesting, intriguing projects for executives at Fortune 100 and Global 100 clients. Outstanding, unique location and office in the heart of Boston's Beacon Hill is a bonus; the office is a former historic church building converted into cool office space.

    Cons

As would be expected of a smaller firm, the projects are often narrower in scope (there are no 20-consultant projects here). The approach is more about thoughtful targeted work vs. sending an army of low-level consultants to overwhelm the client. Travel is sometimes expected. Expectations are high regarding performance; expect late nights. Firm leadership will challenge you to improve whatever you bring to the table - and take true ownership (intellectual and otherwise) for your projects. Be bright, be quick, be very responsible - or your time here will be tough.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on growing the firm. The firm's work has been featured in the Wall St. Journal, and elsewhere - so it is more about expanding scope and scale. Internal processes regarding career development for collegues could be augmented.
