A truly great place to work!

    Pros

Things were dicey before the acquisition, but still, it's always been a fun place to work. Everyone is friendly and team oriented. People are focused and are driving toward a common vision. The Finance team is one of the best I have ever worked with!

    Cons

It's a startup. Of course there's risk, but it's all good now!

A great in-between job, don't believe the hype!

    Pros

Flexibility, if you make it in the right group you can work as you please or not work at all. The majority are not held accountable for doing actual work, instead they post news articles all day, joke and banter with other non-workers. However, if you are not in the "click" you will be picking up the slack for that select majority. The culture here is more like a popularity contest. You'll do well here even if you have no experience, no work ethic, and if you do not use common sense, as the decision makers of this group does not appreciate professionals and thinkers, only "yes men" to cater their inflated egos. After working here, I've coined the term "slack it til you make it" similar to faking it until you make it. If you wind up here, you'll get my drift. This company is more like a high school or fraternity and that may work for some, but if you have real work experience you'll know this mentality is not flying in the real work force. This is definitely a job you take if you are in between jobs or if you are out of work.

    Cons

Read the review from 2014 the Software Engineer who left the review was dead on point about this company, I found everything they said in the past to be true today. That would explain the high attrition rate they suffer.

A company that cares deeply about culture and taking care of its employees

    Pros

Open & friendly environment. Very down to earth people, most with a good sense of humor who are high on capability and low on ego. A lot of understanding for demands of personal life & family. People here work hard and push towards deadlines but there's no competitive culture of staying late at the office for the sake of staying late like so many tech startups. Absolutely no "Bro" culture. Open vacation policy. Get to work on an exciting product that is blazing trails and leading the pack. A lot of care & compassion for customers. The company believes in doing right by customers. There's an environment for open & ongoing conversations about culture, diversity & gender equality. A lot of women here for a tech company and they command and are given respect. Lots of perks like free lunch twice a week, free dinner every week night for those who need it, chair massage, yoga, free parking, etc. Very generous health benefits. Lots of company wide social events and fun. The CEO tries to be very transparent and open about finances and always updates the company on funding news. Well behaved dogs in the office.

    Cons

Need more women in executive positions / leadership. Focus & priorities have shifted several times over the last year, causing a lot of anxiety & some frustration. This seems to have settled down now and it feels like everyone is aligned and clear on larger goals.

    Pros

There is always an opportunity to demonstrate your capacity to influence the environment and community regardless of the length of time you have here.

    Cons

Understanding that the challenges are not always exactly how you had been prepared to handle. It can occasionally create moments of uncertainty.

One of the best places I have ever worked.

    Pros

The atmosphere, the openness and the genuine kindness of my co-workers is great. I feel like I can ask anyone anything.

    Cons

It's a startup so things can change very quickly. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but you do have keep on your toes and pay attention.

    Pros

If you're into auto-tech, it was (at least while I worked there), a very cool place to be. Some very smart people with great industry penetration and some genuinely cool technology. SF office was nice, with usual perks like free lunches and discount dinner if staying in office.

    Cons

An ever increasing, and rapidly encroaching competitor list.

Not a bad startup to work for (compared to most startups), still..

    Pros

Automatic hires accomplished and smart people. The CEO is a strong leader. There is some humility with some of the Leadership team.

    Cons

The leadership team lacks experience and know-how to ship "sticky" consumer products. They met in school and are brilliant though not product people. One of these founders lacks the humility to realize his product weaknesses, which is the real failure so he micro-manages. High attrition.

Stay away, do not waste your valuable career here

    Pros

On-boarding process is nice, nice hangout events.

    Cons

    - You constantly get verbally harassed at work, internal communication is a joke. - Information is not shared across departments, especially about company financial health status. - Managers are ill, incompetent and often pick weaker candidates for a job. - Too many vampires sitting around sucking people ideas and act high in needless meetings. - Zero, if not negative chance for self-development.

Unlimited PTO, which means unaccountable employees. If you have enough friends you can push you're work on to others!

    Cons

Struggling to stay a float. Just let go of 30% of staff.
