I have been working at AvtechTyee full-time

    Pros

It's a fantastic place to work. The people are all very friendly. The presidents door is always open to anyone that works there. He is willing to help you with the best of his ability.

    Cons

Some manager don't appreciate the hard working employees they have under them. They need to hire from within.

    Advice to Management

Look at your employees and promote from the crew you have at the tip of your fingers.

I worked at AvtechTyee full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good commute if you are coming from Seattle to Everett

    Cons

No company cohesion at all. It's frustrating to get anything done or to communicate with management. It's really two companies merged into one bought by a parent company (TransDigm) that couldn't care less about individual performance. Management demands too much out of employees on unrealistic deadlines, both exempt and non-exempt. Employee is weak and uncooperative as a result.

    Advice to Management

Get with the 21ist century and lead rather than dictate. Employees with buy in if you give them reasonable expectations and deadlines.

    Pros

    Good opportunity for advancement
Great co-workers, extremely dedicated and hard working

    Cons

Corporate flip flops on local management. Constant state of unknown.

    Advice to Management

Let local team run the organization (follows he culture you advertise to Wall Street)

I worked at AvtechTyee full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

9/80 is great, when you get it. Reasonable bunch of co-workers.

    Cons

Parent company is bent on extracting money out of the company at the cost of long term viability. Shockingly understaffed.

    Advice to Management

Please staff up in QA and Manufacturing Engineering. It is deeply hurting the company.

    Pros

Nothing. Would like to ask those that gave a positive review to comment on current outlook...

    Cons

Management is a disaster of Trumpian proportions

    Advice to Management

    Sell.

I worked at AvtechTyee full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Easy mindless work.

    Cons

Supervisors have superiority complex, all of them. H.R. does absolutely nothing to protect you from harassment even after you report it. Thankless and monotonous. Steer clear of this company.

    Advice to Management

Get off your high horse, this job is not as lucrative as you think. I had another job the day after I left.

    I worked at AvtechTyee full-time

    Pros

The company gives people within management to advance, but opportunities may be rare. The people are great, and try to support you.

    9/80 schedule.

    Cons

There are not a lot of cons associated with this company if you are in management. A lot of turnover due to the TransDigm culture.

    Pros

Always opportunities to work autonomously and pursue challenges. Promotional opportunities. Fair pay but not close to local businesses such as Boeing. Fair benefits but ditto those offered by Boeing.

    Cons

Lean staff, loss of talent means lots of challenges and need for growth of those in new positions. Engineering staff needs to be developed big time. Brand new President appointed 2015 has the passion and knowledge to address many of challenges caused by President from 5+ years ago which had a huge effect on company operations and morale. I hope he succeeds and doesn't burn out trying and meeting Transdigm corporate demands..

    Advice to Management

Persevere and find some Engineers who can support short and long-term demands..

    Pros

This is a dynamic and active company that is also on the go.

    Cons

Due to the amount of work that is demanded, things can easily pile up.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you have the manpower necessary to do the jobs at hand.
