Pros

Most jobs are remote. It's a stepping stone not a career - people work here briefly then leave for better pay and benefits elsewhere. Good resume builder if you have little experience, waste of time otherwise.

Cons

- Poor management and lack of leadership in a dying industry - Toxic culture with high turnover - Below average pay and benefits, no bonuses - "Raises" are 1-2%, not even a basic cost of living increase - No tuition reimbursement or education opportunities - No marketing dept - they all quit - Expected to do 2-3 jobs for the price of one, will fire you if you refuse to work for free - Common to do manager job for non-manager pay - Turnover is high so employees are repurposed to do more work for for zero pay increase

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. BCC values all feedback including negative as it helps us identify areas of improvement and address concerns. In response to some of yours, please see below. 1. While we have had some changes to our leadership team, the ELT that's currently in place is focused on providing employees a positive work experience. This is why Employee Engagement is one of our 2022 key initiatives and will continue to be a top priority. Within just a few months, we've been able to offer trainings, community involvement opportunities, lunches and other in-person gatherings. In the upcoming months, we will be building up our professional development program and finding ways to promote engagement for our remote population. 2. BCC has been consistently known to have a small, family-feel type of environment that recognizes the importance of a work-life balance. BCC provides a fully remote/hybrid work environment, flexible working hours, ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, easy-going environment, and believes in putting family first. We've also been acknowledged as having an excellent employee base comprised of talented, dedicated and caring individuals. 3. Our benefits package is very competitive, offering 3 medical plans with one of the largest insurance providers. We also have a 401k match- 50% of employee contributions up to 6% and fully vested on the date of hire. 4. BCC did have a tuition reimbursement program, but it was not being utilized. However, this is something we can look into bringing back. 5. We've begun rebuilding the marketing team with the selection of a strong marketing leader. Additionally, we've been utilizing a 3rd party who has helped us with the marketing function. 6. As a small company, some employees have "worn different hats" to help their fellow team members when needed. This is very much appreciated and not overlooked. Of course if someone has a concern with their job duties, we work with them and offer support where we can. While there is always room for improvement, BCC prides itself on being a company of family values, collaboration and flexibility. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to continuing to make BCC a great place to work.
