Toxic Leadership and Constant Turnover

Pros

It was a privilege working with my co-workers that were not in leadership.

Cons

Working at BJM Group has been one of the most discouraging professional experiences I’ve ever had. In the past year alone, at least 17 people have left the company, and there are even more currently planning to leave. That number speaks volumes about the work environment here. It’s not a coincidence — turnover is a direct result of how employees are treated. The biggest issue is leadership. The leadership style is not just tough or demanding — it is outright bullying. CEO frequently belittles and degrades her staff, both in person and during meetings. Comments are often condescending and dismissive, creating a culture where people feel small instead of supported. Rather than encouraging growth or professional development, the tone from the top is one of intimidation and humiliation. The day-to-day atmosphere is tense. People walk on eggshells, dreading being called out or spoken to harshly in front of their peers. Meetings that should be about collaboration often turn into degrading experiences. It’s not an environment where anyone can thrive, and it leaves employees feeling drained, anxious, and unappreciated. The saddest part is that there are good, hardworking people here who want to do well and support one another, but the culture driven by leadership overshadows all of that. Any positives — like reasonable benefits or pay — are quickly outweighed by the toxic environment. If you are considering a job at BJM Group, I would strongly encourage you to think twice. The company does not value its employees, and the high turnover rate proves that. A healthy workplace starts with respect, and unfortunately, respect is not something the CEO practices here.

Pros

There used to be a strong team culture and small perks that made workdays more enjoyable. Some coworkers are still incredibly supportive & hardworking despite circumstances.

Cons

Major decline since the arrival of new CEO. Employee perks (liked stocked break rooms) have been removed even during busy season. Management makes it very hard to use PTO & does not pay PTO when you leave company. High turnover is common & seems to be encouraged. Leadership does not seem to value employee well-being. Departing employees are often not replaced, and no training is provided to those inheriting their responsibilities. Constant budget issues. Poor communication from upper management.
