      Great Company, good business model. a company of the future

      Pros

      Good pay and benefits, great team, good business, worldwide market, owned by the richest woman in Germany. career opportunity for a lot of disciplines including R & D.

      Cons

      Company with a lot of policies that must be followed, Very strict IT rules, working now with a very reduced team but company is doing a big effort to increase the labor force.

      Pros

      Lots of Collaboration Between Business units and lots of exposure to C-Level Executives.

      Cons

      BYK has a bad habit of growing by acquisition and then letting the newly acquired companies atrophy. Very flat and unorganized matrix management structure. There are too many managers that negatively affect other business functions and without proper management structure this causes a lot of problems.

      Pros

      They pay you for your time. The Wallingford site is better staffed (hard to believe at times), than sites like Chester and Earth City. Knowing there are worse sites within the company, makes me feel lucky. The turnover rate coupled with HR incompetence is a recruiter’s dream.

      Cons

      The consensus amongst management is that the reason they have their position is simply because they are “better” and their employees are lazy complainers. Someone must “grab them by the neck”… This mindset reaches all the way to the top of US operations.
