- Work in a team of driven, pragmatic people from mixed backgrounds, where every opinion matters
- Have a direct impact on the product
- Get involved early in feature brainstorms/design
- Get the freedom to experiment with ways to improve the product itself or the ways of working
Cons
- Pay/benefits not as good as larger companies (but we get some stock options)
- Quickly changing environment can be stressful, but that's how startups are... At least there's no pressure on deadline/working hours.
- Small team which makes it easier for everyone to be involved
- The product itself has potential
Cons
- Lack of transparency in all levels
- A lot of politics that caused a high turn over rate in the company (more than 70% in the first 18 months) and mostly from engineering
- Unlike other startups where I worked, creating a good work environment wasn't a core value to the founders
- The quality of engineering is really poor
