I worked at Beechcraft full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Many areas have great team environment, some areas you can define your job role depends on the leadership.

    Cons

Communication, and false representation of production schedules

    Advice to Management

Don't micro manage your people, let them take ownership of their work area. Use your chain of command to communicate across business units. Help, direct, mentor when needed, otherwise do your own job.

    Pros

Good place with good people. Needed to spend more money on making the office environment a little cleaner... but over all good.

    Cons

Worked with another IT company (CSC) at this location and the lines of responsibility were somewhat vague.

    Pros

Aftermarket had plenty of work and opportunities for improvement. This review is for the old Hawker Beechcraft company.

    Cons

Senior management had long since put their feet in cement.

    Advice to Management

I am sure Bill is doing a better job.

I worked at Beechcraft (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Decent benefits and working conditions.

    Cons

They're not certain if they want to be an aircraft company or not. They certainly don't want to be a defense company.

    Advice to Management

    They already know it all.

Good people, good pay, interesting work at times, opportunities for new grads to move from area to area to learn what they like.

I worked at Beechcraft full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Met some nice people. Buildings were warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Restaurants were handy for lunch.

    Cons

Management was clueless to the real world of aerospace. Products were inferior to the needs of the flying world. The constant attempts to get the US Government to buy an "off the shelf ground support aircraft" drained company resources. The proposal didn't even begin to meet the requirements of the government RFQ. Senior Management was bloated and salaries were beyond what the market value of their contributions were worth.

    Advice to Management

Become aggressive with your marketing. DOn't wait for customers to come to you because your historically based name means nothing to new pilots or even seasoned pilots.

    Pros

Great room for growth once you're in. Management and mentors seem to really care about their employee's professional progression.

    Cons

The industry fluctuates so there are times where work is overloaded and times when it is sparce.

    Advice to Management

Hold employees more accountable for their time.
