Great learning experience, but high pace and unclear priorities at times
Pros
I learned a ton in this role and got hands-on experience building real production software with meaningful impact. The team had smart engineers who cared about shipping and solving hard problems, and I was given a lot of ownership early on. There were plenty of opportunities to improve systems, refactor legacy areas, and work across product + engineering to deliver features end-to-end. If you’re motivated and like moving fast, you’ll grow quickly here.
Cons
The pace could be intense and priorities sometimes shifted quickly, which made it hard to plan work or feel confident something wouldn’t get changed mid-stream. Processes were inconsistent depending on the team/project, and sometimes requirements weren’t fully defined before work started. That could lead to rework and extra pressure during delivery. Communication and long-term roadmap clarity could be improved.
