I have been working at Brixmor full-time

    Pros

Brixmor has a new executive team that empowers employees and has an open-door policy. That's a good thing for great employees, but there is nowhere to hide if you are below average. Definitely a much-improved culture.

    Cons

Still getting the team to function seamlessly with many new people, but that will come with time. Benefits are good, but could be more generous.

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring good people and the rest should fall into place. Make sure employees that worked under the prior management team see all the positive changes that have occurred at the corporate headquarters. Other offices need executive face time.

I worked at Brixmor full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None whatsoever except maybe free lattes.

    Cons

Was hired for a short period of time 3 weeks. Team never bothered to train me for the job- management did not gove me time to teach myself the job. Was let go on third week - because i didnt teach myself fast enough- what a joke of a place. Commute sucked- hours sucked. Worst people ever!

    Advice to Management

You may want to review the managers that run marketing. You may want to teach people a job before you adk them to do it.

I worked at Brixmor full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Summer Hours, 37.5 hour work week. Ability to carry over vacation days. Overall was a good experience. There was some issues with leadership and upper management towards the end of my tenure, other than that was a great experience with great people.

    Cons

Communication with different teams within the same department or even external departments. It was very tough to collaborate or get a certain task/project done.

    Advice to Management

Not much, keep up the good work.

I have been working at Brixmor full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Summer Fridays, we get off at 1 pm on Fridays in the sunmer

    Cons

No room for growth. Benefits aren't that great. Systems don't work the way they should.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees. You ask for feedback but don't use it to your advantage so you're continually faced with high turnover.

I worked at Brixmor full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Summer Fridays-Offices close at 1pm

    Cons

Poor communication at all levels, Little respect for employees by management, Poor employee morale, lack of ethics prevalent in the organization, "old boy network" left over from New Plan and Centro days. Very political environment.

    Advice to Management

Bring in leaders that actually lead instead of manage by intimidation and fear. Managers are not trained to manage their teams, open communications at all levels, accept & encourage direct feedback at all levels instead of accepting communications only from the chain of command.
