    Pros

    CEFCU cares about its employees, with numerous opportunities for advancement within the organization. In addition, there is ample vacation and personal time to really help staff achieve a work/life balance. The benefits are really too many to name. Great place to work!

    And, CEFCU cares about the members and communities the Credit Union serves. CEFCU is involved in multiple community events and sponsorships. Proud to work for an organization that cares so much about the community and making Central Illinois and the San Jose area in CA a great place to live and work!

    Bankers hours, Great benefits, Excellent training, Best Pay in the area, Great opportunity for advancement if you are willing to move

    Cons

    Not the best job for men, it's a women dominated field for a reason.

    Advice to Management

    Try to understand that men work differently than women do.

    Pros

    Great vacation time and benefits. Decent starting pay but it takes forever to work up to a higher wage. The culture is overall positive, although it has been declining. They went through a culture shift where they are much more sales oriented rather than member focused. I loved how active they are in the community.

    Cons

    There is no career path except for management. It can literally take years to be considered for management. This company also likes you hold all of your mistakes against you for the rest of your career.

    Pros

    Full time employment. Ok pay and benefits. Good potential for yearly bonus

    Cons

    Experience varies greatly depending on who management is. At certain stores were turn over is high, advancement is difficult. Management allowed customers to berate us. High pressure on high volume transactions at the sacrifice of customer service. Management would ignore tellers observations. preference given to customers who invested greatly in credit union. Little schedule flexibility and starting sick time.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your tellers. They are your front line.

    Stable job with decent benefits

    High sales expectations, loosing sight of the credit union philosophy

    Advice to Management

    Bring back the member based focus and stop trying to throw product sand services in beryones face. Sales goals can be unrealistic and cause people to cheat their way to the top

    Most people that work here are very kind
    Overall a well-run company

    Cons

    Next to impossible to move to different departments
    Stressful, tasking, and mentally draining job. Non-stop calls
    Late schedule that does not go away unless you work there for around a year
    Managers have little control over who they want to hire. It's all up to HR

    Pros

    Great team to be a part of. Lots of training and tools available for growth. They sincerely care about their team. Management is extremely helpful and push you towards your goals. By far one of the best companies I've worked for.

    If you're on the front line, working with the public can be somewhat challenging at times. However, it can be also rewarding. Prepare to deal with angry members at times.
