      Pros

      Solid established product lines, in FMS, GPS, Displays, HUDs, Integrated Cockpit Systems.

      Cons

      Experienced a mass exodus under new management, took on way more work than we could accomplish, and had continual difficulties staffing programs adequately.

      Was better before Esterline acquisition.

      Pros

      Good amount of time off. It was better before, but still decent. Flexible schedule is nice. Health insurance costs are low.

      Cons

      CMC had a great family feel a decade ago. Slowly that has eroded, even more so after the Esterline acquisition. Benefits has been reduced, and numerous layoffs of value added employees while retaining middle management. Unclear who will do the actual work now. No mentoring whatsoever.

      Pros

      The office I worked in was remote so I was self managed. After a couple of years in my position I was totally self managed except during disagreements and project issues.

      Cons

      No advancement potentials. Company did not foster an environment by which we grew as a company. A lot of duplication of effort. Being contracts driven from the top down did not help this situation. Certain long time employees definitely hurt this company's prospects wrt this local office.
