I worked at CTT full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    It survived almost thirty years!
Great peers who will looking out for each other like a family!!

    Cons

No pay increase for the past five years while the CEO would say we managed to make profit for most of the years!!
High pay out of pocket for employee's benefits

    Advice to Management

To the CEO: You need to invest the most valuable resources in your company...your employees!!

I worked at CTT (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Job security as long as you're not too old (you will get laid off), or if you anger someone in upper management, or one of their relatives/girlfriend's.

    Cons

Very hostile work environment. Low pay. Bonuses have nothing to do with senority or performance. Tremendous mismanagement. Internal sabotage. Illegal business practices such as not following agreed upon procedures set by customers who's products go to the military. Constant lying to customers and auditors. I had been working there for over 9 years and am surprised that they still exist.

    Advice to Management

CLEAN HOUSE!!! Get rid of those in management that are unqualified. Get rid of employees that do nothing at all but take up space, do not keep them because who they are related to. Get rid of those that are blatantly embezzling from you. Then...reward your loyal employees, and pay the salaries it takes to hire engineers who are knowledgeable, experienced and can improve your product so you can take CTT to the next level like you are always talking about in the company meetings.
I am glad I finally got a great job at a great company. If you were to do these things, I could have maybe felt that way at CTT.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at CTT full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Only that the company has managed to exist for about 30 years.

    Cons

-Unusual hiring practices which typically results in not hiring the best qualified applicants. Many employees do not speak English well or at all. Advancement and promotions are also handled in a similar fashion.

-A difficult work environment with little support and too much politics between managers and individuals. A lack of technically skilled, long term senior employees has also contributed to the stagnant growth and downsizing of the company. Cultural management practices by the immigrant owner/managers also makes working here a challenge.

-Pay increases are based on personal preference and generally lower than the cost of living (except for the privileged few). Health benefits are limited, expensive, and continue to shrink year after year

    Advice to Management

To the CEO: Get your head out of... the sand. Take control of your company and remove those who work against it. That will be a good start.

    Cons

Not so easy for a new employee to get used to its culture.

    Advice to Management

    None.
