In my opinion, there seems to be a disconnect between upper management's focus and the core priorities of the business. While it's understandable for leadership to demonstrate their capabilities, it's equally important for them to prioritize the company's overarching goals.
Creating an environment where individual talents are valued and contributions are recognized can significantly enhance morale and productivity. Micromanagement and a hyper-focus on showcasing specific skills can lead to a stifling work atmosphere, hindering innovation and collaboration.
To truly thrive, it's essential for management to empower employees, foster autonomy, and trust in their abilities. By redirecting attention towards collective success and fostering a culture of openness and collaboration, we can create a more conducive work environment for everyone involved.
