    Pros

The Orientation is very good and inspiring. The training is also pretty good. You can learn about alot of imported products.

    Cons

It will take a very long time to get promotes even if you are already doing the job which you are working towards.

I worked at Citarella full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly staff and helpful at times. It's a nice air conditioned building and not too big. Flexible hours if needed

    Cons

Management clearly has favorites and does not treat employees with equal respect. Lunch break isn't paid for and you don't get employee discount during the break. Too many unnecessary rules to abide by. Owner can be a real jerk.

    Advice to Management

    Get your act together

I worked at Citarella part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My colleagues and manager were easy to work with and the hourly pay was reasonable.

    Cons

The work position I had at Citarella Inc. was a bit too demanding and fast-paced for me.

    Advice to Management

    None.

Employees are great to work with. Small store feel. Owner is a regular at the stores.

    Cons

Upper management show favoritism to team members that have either been there for a long time or have a relationship with them.

    Pros

Easy work and they give you good hours.

    Cons

People talk to you in Spanish even if you speak none.
    Employees aren't treated with respect.
I just started, and I have to ask for days off 2 weeks in advance minimum.
They won't let you go home if it's an emergency.
The lunch break is 1 hour, which you don't get paid for, and you have no say in when you want it.
Might not have the ability to eat for hours.

    Advice to Management

When interviewing employees, make sure the employee gets to meet the manager at least some time after the interview.
    Hire more English speaking people.
Be more respectful to the employees and their personal lives.
Make sure the employees are fine with their schedule.

I worked at Citarella full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay, Citeralla started me off at a rate that's not even heard of these days.

    Cons

The employees are unfriendly, new people are too much of a threat to people who've been there longer. Very hostile environment.

    Advice to Management

Train your department supervisors to do better, assist in creating a boundary amongst team members and team leaders. Many of the team members who've been there longer make it hell for new team members. Some of us go in wanting to do the best we could. I walked away disappointed and I hope nobody ever has to deal with what I had to deal with.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

    The work is pretty easy.

    Cons

Management only cares about business. They won't care about personal needs and any emergencies. They will make you work long hours and treat you horribly. The owner is horrible too. Yells at employees and management in front of customers. Leaving was the best choice I've ever made.

    Advice to Management
