I have been working at Clarizen full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    * Product - I see the positive changes our product makes for our Customers; it's a very rewarding feeling.
    * People - we have some of the best and brightest at Clarizen. I love coming into the office every day and working with smart, funny, and honest people who want to help customers and each other
    * Work life balance - I'm not micromanaged nor are my colleagues. I have a flexible schedule and when I'm on vacation, I'm actually on vacation!
    * Personal growth - I've learned a number of different technologies since joining
    * Positive company culture

    Cons

    * Relatively recent management changes leading to some turnover. It's never easy when people who you like leave. The silver lining is that the new direction is much more promising.
    * Commute

I worked at Clarizen full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Office is nice but now sub-leasing half of it
Lots of free beverages and snacks
Only other "pro" is the view

    Cons

The fact that I can only list the office, food and view as pros speaks volumes.

Management is, well it exists at Clarizen, but you wouldn't receive any benefit from it.

Messy, dysfunctional, no collaboration between departments to ensure seamless roll-outs of new products. Pricing is confusing and the Accounting Department along with senior management refuse to address systemic issues that affect the customer experience. It's embarrassing walking a customer through placing an order, not to mention having to explain the confusing and type-o ridden invoice a day later.

The word "morale" is not a word in management's vernacular. All are expected to act as if it's the best company to work for ever. A bad review on Glassdoor sends them into a tizzy.

So let me just say, do not work for Clarizen. Company's days are numbered and they sure won't divulge that in an interview.

    Advice to Management

Better fix these issues before the money runs out. Or run out the clock, your choice.

I worked at Clarizen full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Beautiful offices with sweeping views and fully stocked kitchen
    - Currently a leader in the market, although competitors are close behind
    - Much of the staff is sharp, hardworking and just "good people"

    Cons

    - Lots and lots and lots of employee turnover
    - Dual HQs (San Mateo and Israel) feel like 2 separate companies, no cohesion
    - Management lacks experience and tact
    - Product is falling behind in the market: needs a new UI and more innovative functionality

    Advice to Management

    - Invest in the people you have left still

I worked at Clarizen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I had great coworkers. All of us helped one another in order to make the product work, and the support from HQs was pretty good. Of course, I occasionally had arguments, but I was able to overcome and don't remember I had felt being neglected.

    Cons

The product - Need to re-architect and good market positioning. I was not eager about how the management ran the company.

+ Amazing people that are passionate about what they do, have high integrity, and are fun to work with
+ Phenomenal product that is consistently ranked in leader quadrants and has capabilities far beyond competing solutions
    + Great company culture
    + Consistent revenue growth
+ Supportive managers that care about enabling employees as opposed to micromanaging, flexible work hours
+ Hip office with views of the the Bay, San Francisco, and Mount Diablo

    Cons

    - R&D is based in Israel, so there is sometimes a delay with communication back and forth
    - There was some recent turnover due to management changes and aggressive process improvement, but everything has since stabilized in all three office locations

    - No competitor in that landscape is doing much better

    Cons

    - Outdated technology
    - Product is not polished

I have been working at Clarizen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone truly is passionate about the product, and the company - and it shows in our customers who love the product as well. The reward of knowing that you're helping make a customer's life better by using your solution makes working worthwhile. The company is a real family/team culture - all driving to a common goal. The company lives/runs the entire business on Clarizen, which is extra cool to "drink your own champagne"

    Cons

Changes in management earlier in the year have rattled some of the org, which has resulted in some turnover and lack of confidence.
R&D is based in Israel, so you have to get used to working with a different culture of work & communication styles.

    Advice to Management

Keep the transparency that Clarizen is known for, on product and company roadmap.
