A small company that acts like it's bigger than it is.

Pros

They cater food every third week when managers from all over are flown in. They have a Christmas bonus and that is usually $3k. You can roll over 40 hours of Vacation every year. Some of the people are super awesome to work with and competent, albeit not respected. Christmas Party is always fun.

Cons

Pay is under industry standard for healthcare IT. I'm talking minimum 25%, if not closer to 40% if you're not in a middle to upper management position. You can have someone with significantly less experience in the same role making the exact same amount as you. Ideas can take over a year to get implemented, which is ridiculous considering they see themselves as "agile". There is a very heavy CYA culture within certain parts of upper management. They don't have a problem playing dumb and throwing someone under the bus when they need to. Certain members of engineering can be complete jerks. To say the minimum: sexist, argumentative, hostile, and condescending. I'd say stuck in old style of thinking and the others Software Developers have been there for tens of years, leading to blind following. Management does not directly address issues or give feedback on performance (on time at least) so you never know where your weaknesses are so you can grow. They're also not interested in mentoring subordinates so they can grow. This is from fear that they will leave and find better jobs.

Thank you for your feedback. In 2018, we implemented the use of PayScale, a robust compensation platform combining big data and job matching algorithms. They matched our job descriptions to market data within the Healthcare IT industry based on specific job requirements, responsibilities and experience. Having a defined compensation structure based on industry salary standards has been well received. Our new annual performance review process is in place; regular one on one feedback sessions between Managers and their teams are also encouraged. These conversations foster open communication and collaboration. CCSI has done some restructuring and introduced a career development program which has been productive. We have increased communication to all employees through quarterly town hall meetings conducted by our CEO (which are streamed for remote employee participation). Periodically, employee surveys are conducted to allow for anonymous feedback. These changes are a result of employee responses aligned with strategic goals.

Pros

Everyone was nice except for power trip Supervisor. They purchased lunch one day a week I believe for everyone.. They have outings (baseball). ... that is all I can think of honestly.

Cons

Product wasn't the best, if ppl are calling in for service tkts every min of the day and during ppl's on call; that usually means the product isn't working well. I hope they have fixed the software, it was just ridiculous. You are chained to your desk... literally. You are seriously allotted a certain amount of times to use the facilities or take a break. Supervisor was horrible, #1 reason why I left quickly. You shouldn't be at your job and pissed about returning the following day before you are even done with your current work day. He made an already stressful situation into a painful one. He is on a power trip and talks down to people a lot. Most took it, I didn't which is probably why we butt heads often. This is the first job I couldn't leave quickly enough from or would have welcomed a firing.
