Good atmosphere, friendly people, motivation to get things done and keep moving forward. With all that said, nobody takes themselves so seriously that they are annoying.

The office space is sub par.

Pros
During my time at Coder Camps, I have seen some really great transformations within the company. The team and the culture is such that they are always looking for ways to improve. Coder Camps is investing in getting their students positive outcomes and that effort is showing results. The fact that they invite all students back to learn additional technologies for life is evidence that they truly care about the well being of their students. The company is growing very fast, and it seems there is always something big on the horizon, which offers lots of opportunity to grow professionally. It is a flat organization that relies on good people more than processes and management.
Cons
Whether it's a Pro or a Con depends on the person, but this company is constantly seeking improvement, which means it's very fast paced and direction can change quickly.

Amazing opportunity to grow with a company...future looks exciting!
Apr 4, 2017 - Anonymous Employee in Scottsdale, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I am a fairly new employee and absolutely love it here. Everyone I have met has been very friendly and has expressed how much they too enjoy the work and its environment. During the hiring process, one of the first things I noticed about Coder Camps is that they believe in their product...this is very important to me. What better way to say you believe in your product than to actually hire some of your graduates for key positions? Coder Camps has/does. I feel it speaks volumes when company values, goals, culture and loyalty come to fruition...and with such transparency.
Cons
I don't see this as a con but, this is a growing company/environment where multiple hats may be worn...I feel I thrive in this type of environment, not everyone's cup of tea.

Student who attended Coder Camps in the Bay Area.

They do not teach you Comp Sci theory in 9 weeks (I don't think it's possible) but they do teach you how to program. For me I tried for a whole year before coming to camp and could never get past the basics. Coder Camps pushes you through that. They teach you how to teach yourself, and how to learn a programming language, which is powerful. More powerful than just memorizing syntax of one language.
Cons
I was in the first troop in the bay area. The first time with anything has it's challenges but the staff/instructors handled everything professionally and took prompt action.

Phenomenal atmosphere and leadership from the management team all the way up through the executive team. It feels nice to actually feel valued in an industry that has not shown that in previous admissions positions I have held. The pay is more than fair and you are also rewarded generously for your success. I am given actual opportunity to grow with a company that is making all the right moves and has great direction.
Cons
You need to be motivated to succeed. You should feel comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Growing Company, Great owners and leadership team. Encouraging fun environment. Even though challenging, very rewarding in lots of ways. Expect to learn a lot.
Cons
I wouldn't call it a con, but expect to work hard and expect some weeks to put in a lot of hours. You are rewarded for your hard work.

Working at Coder Camps

Company with tremendous growth and strong leadership. Vision of the company is clear and you get a ton of opportunity to take on responsibility and grow in your career.
Cons
Start-up environment, so work is relatively fast-paced. Great for employees who can work quick and efficiently, but could be overwhelming for some who aren't used to it.
