I have been working at Comark part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

District management is good. management team has been there for a long time. it is possible to get comfortable working there for a long time.

    Cons

Although it is a Canadian company, there is no consideration for the lower level employees with regards to pay-minimum wage and no benefits regardless of experience or skills. Very bottom lined

I worked at Comark part-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Customers and coworkers are usually the best part. The three companies comark exists of is a benefit as well being able to work between the stores and the discounts provided.

    Cons

Not being able to move up in position. With three companies under the comark name you should have more opportunity.

  6. "Good Experience"

      I worked at Comark

      Pros

Best Store Manager. Great environment and coworkers

      Cons

They took away the merchandiser and we had to take over all the work.

I have been working at Comark part-time

      Pros

Great entry level technical opportunity, flexible schedules and solid management make this a great place to work for students. Not overly stressful.

      Cons

Poor communication between office associates often leads to conflict, lots of young people. Not a lot of room for advancement. Entry level tech support only.

      Advice to Management

Management is great, although maybe a little inexperienced. Very welcoming, open door policy. Easy to voice concerns or suggestions.

      I worked at Comark part-time

      Pros

They definitely care about their employees and everyone in the company was really great. Excellent incentives for sales, and super flexible hours

      Cons

The pay was minimum wage which is what I expected for a retail job. The goals you are set to meet for Jean sales is a bit much too.

      Advice to Management

Do your research before hiring. Towards the end of my career with the company, we got sent a manager who was terrible. She purposely scheduled me and other students during school hours just so we would have to quit. Awful

I worked at Comark part-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

Great place to work when you're a student. Tasks include greeting and helping out customers, assist with styling options, maintain store appearance, and process payment. 50% all clothes at Bootlegger, and at Rickis and Cleo after you've been working there for 3 months.

      Cons

Could get boring during slow times. Short shifts sometimes, as short as 3 hours. Works well for students but not those who need the money.

      Advice to Management

I would say to be an equal opportunity employer, treat employees equally and to not allow managers who slack off and sit in the back room on the phone while sales associates do all the selling.
