    Pros

Very interesting projects to work on. Great people

    Cons

The company is in the process of being sold and the CEO and his team are only interested in cashing in. Very chaotic environment

    Advice to Management

Don't forget those that do the actual work

I worked at Custom Control Concepts full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    * You meet some really awesome people that are not in management
    * Work out room, pool table, prayer room, ping pong table.

    Cons

    * Moving into more new responsibilities/ job title does not mean more pay
    * Most of the workers that work there have been there a long time, but with minimum pay raises
    * The management doesn't really believe in raises, they believe giving you the option to work as much overtime as you want is better (unless production is low then they will cut your hours)

    Advice to Management

Be honest to the employees that want to move up, let them know ahead of time about more hours and less raises. This will help to see if this place is the right place for people who are seeking employment there.

I worked at Custom Control Concepts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

An opportunity for you to learn and excel new skills in the Aerospace Industry. I worked with great employees and had the opportunity of finding new connections in different locations.

    Cons

I was unable to communicate with different departments, even though we all worked on the same projects. Never was trained into a project coordinator- but if your motivated and willing to learn new skills, its a challenge, if your up for it.
Communication was not very good, and structure was not as organized. Had to work long hours for customers who visit site, worked until 1 -2am at times, to test system.

Pay more attention to what we need to get done rather than talk disrespect to the employees or behind their backs.

    Advice to Management

Get your projects together, and really create a plan from start to finish. Don't expect new management to be hired and want to learn or even know what to do, because there are a lot of people out there who make big money and don't know what to do when hired in the company such as Aerospace Industry, but may have years of experience managing people.. doesn't mean they know or do their job CORRECTLY.

    Pros

    Free health insurance for employees
    Bagels on Friday?
Supposedly there is a incentive program where you can get a $25 target gift card

    Cons

-Family health insurance is cost prohibitive
-Management/ HR implement policies and later make excuses as to why they don't follow through with them.
-Absolutely no follow through on promises if goals are met.
-Very little chance of getting performance based or cost of living raises.
-No opportunity for advancement within the company if you excel in your position. If you ask for further compensation due to this they will tell you "show us another job offer and we will take it into consideration".
-Very little training for new employees and historically speaking if you cannot figure things out on your own they will let you go in short order.
-Management constantly hires individuals who are not qualified to do the job which makes your job more difficult.

    Advice to Management

Take care of the people who consistently do what it takes to meet deadlines.
    Stop micromanaging
If you pay competitively your quality of employee will rise and you will be able to keep your top performers.
Implement a policy for random drug screenings throughout the company.

"Custom Control Concepts - a workplace that I would not recommend."

I have been working at Custom Control Concepts full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

-You get a paycheck, mostly on-time.
    -They don't discriminate.
-They do pay for insurance. That's a plus!

    Cons

-This company doesn't take care of its employees. They do not care if you are unhappy here, and they do not take into account what your position's pay looks like in comparison to averages of other companies in the same area with similar annual growth/income. Do not believe them when they say they offer competitive pay/benefits.
-This company does not match 401k, does not help with education, does not provide actual sick pay, and will often not follow through with promises of raises or on-time reviews. Do NOT think for one second that you will be paid based off of your effort here, like another review seemed to suggest. I've verified this feeling with most all of my coworkers. There are no perks for working here; if you're entry-level you have a better chance at making a decent living working in a Seattle McDonalds at $15/hour.
-The engineering group is behind the curve technologically. They may be improving, but that group is also rather difficult to work with and in on all fronts.
-The production group is.... stunted. Constant temp agency hires-and-fires coupled with shoddy paperwork for building units creates a lot of slowdown and difficulties in meeting completion dates.

    Advice to Management

Your human resources are your most important resources. Treat them as such.

Happy employees translate directly to happy customers, and the happier the customers are, the more the brand expands. Word of mouth between customers will win you new contracts, and that word of mouth is directly impacted not only by product quality, but by anyone communicating with those customers. It's easy to tell when someone doesn't care about the company that they work for, and it can be pretty easy to tell when a company is going places or not.

Maybe I'm ignorant, maybe I think that employees should be worth something to a human resources department and upper management as a whole, but I don't think I'm that far off.

I have been working at Custom Control Concepts full-time

    Pros

Lot's of opportunity to work on different technologies. A whole bunch of room to improve existing systems and workflows. Never a dull moment, there is always a challenge to overcome.
Employees really smart and capable people.
Initial pay is good. Don't expect anything else, ever.

    Cons

    There is zero project management.
There are sprint times where you work 60 hour weeks but expect to receive calls at 10pm for things that can wait.
Hardware built on ancient technologies. Often causes many issues during implementation.
Everybody seemingly can identify the problems that need to be solved. Any attempt to even start a discussion on how to fix the problem is met with stone walling.
Continuous push to make things run faster and look better but trying new things is highly discouraged.
Because of the number of technologies and cobbled together "solutions" it takes 3-6 months before you can understand the product.
Management does not recognize the importance of existing employees. A common quote among employees is "If you want a raise, you have to give your notice."
Management is cheap when providing for the staff but has no problem renovating the building continually.

    Advice to Management

Invest time into updating your product line. Don't just slap lipstick on a pig.
It takes a lot of time to train up your staff, it's cost-effective to make them happy.
    Hire actual project managers.
Setup timelines for each project and include each department in the planning process.

Cool products, cool customers, hard working employees

    Cons

Do you dream about being a great brown noser? Do you like back stabbing working environment? Do you like to be around private cliques everywhere in the office? Do you like inconsistent policies and favoritism? This is the dream place to be.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Flexible hours, overtime availability, internet access

    Cons

No training at all. Test technicians play video games without wanting to help new technicians.

    Advice to Management

Fire the lazy test technicians and create some training for eager new technicians.
