    I worked at DA-IICT part-time

    Pros

The professors are great to work with and it is a great opportunity to get better at teaching and explaining material.

    Cons

The labs are not the best so it can get painful at times to get the work stations working.

    Advice to Management

The faculty and students are very good but the infrastructure should be improved to come up to the level of the students it produces.

I have been working at DA-IICT full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is a good deal of academic freedom. Faculties get 60 days paid vacation leave which is really good. There is an excellent student environment (30-40% students are comparable to that of the elite IIT-s). The library over here is one of the best I have seen (considering the focus is on CS, CSE, and EE).

    Cons

The place is not student pro at all. It has become one of those academic factories attempting to produce excellent human robots (in contrast to well-rounded intellectuals). There is no vision in the management as to leading the institution to a newer level. There is an intense atmosphere of mediocrity in terms of research and teaching (although people are highly qualified and has the capacity to excel).

    I worked at DA-IICT full-time

    Pros

Best among the options available in the given geographical region. Great exposure to the outer world. Some of the research work is good.

    Cons

No pressure on research work. Hiring process for PhDs and researchers is not that strict. The crowd is not upto the level of the profs.

    Advice to Management

    Retain your best profs.
