I worked at DLA (More than a year)

    Pros

This company provides Telework to their employees.

Upward mobility... It tends to be a slow process only a select few get promotions.

    Advice to Management

Management tends to stick together regardless if isnt in the best interest of the company for them to maintain their position.

I worked at DLA as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very nice group of people to work with. Great industry experience: real estate (REITS), hedge funds, etc.

    Cons

Pay is not great, bonuses not great unless you are cool with one of the directors, overtime is ridiculous. Don't expect to have a life working here. Travel can be as much as 75% although they'll say up to 20%.

    Advice to Management

Stop playing favoritism and fairly evaluate people based on their work.

    Pros

Only reason to work here is if you are unemployed and need the money

    Cons

The high turnover rate speaks for itself. The employee moral is lower than any other company that I have worked. Management lacks clear direction and you get conflicting directives. The benefits are poor.

    Pros

Professional leaders allow the staff to learn from them, the work provided is dynamic and you are handed responsiblites up and beyond your abilities with their support.

    Cons

The firm is growing, but there is not enough work to hire the many subcontractors on a full time basis.

    Advice to Management

Learn to hire for the long term and not for short term needs.
