I worked at DataBank IMX full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I have nothing good to say but I will try. The building is well lit. The floor is hard concrete. Long tables. Warehouse. Lockers. Running water. Bathrooms when they are clean. Windows. Vending machine. Some coworkers were nice. Running water. Oh I already said that.

    Cons

Petty and immature coworkers. Not all, but some. Poor management. I'll leave it at that. Layoffs galore. Temp culture. Most good workers won't be hired on full time and even the permanent employees got laid off. Too much turnover. Not enough work at times so people are sent home. The benefits are low and the insurance is below standard and very expensive.

    Advice to Management

If I gave advice, they wouldn't listen, so I won't give any.

I worked at DataBank IMX full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Friendly colleagues, PTO was competitive, and good location.
My direct supervisor was one of the best I ever had.

    Cons

    1. No raises given. EVER.
    2. High health care premium. Over $200/month for an individual on a low plan.
    3. 401k matching was "discretionary." They barely match to begin with and hit us at the end of the year there would be NO matching.
    4. Company continues to downsize and are cutting roles constantly.
    5. Nepotism. Political. They will get rid of you if they do not like you. Their true colors will show after 1 year anniversary with the company.
    6. No career advancement or path. Poor communication between departments.
    7. Low morale throughout the entire company.

    Advice to Management

Give back to your employees! 99% of the company did not see a penny increase in their salary year after year.

I worked at DataBank IMX full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The Pay was good. Had some really great co-workers and each was willing to share ideas and experiences. You will make some good industry contacts if you are on the professional services team.

    Cons

Company wanted you to pay for your own certifications that they expected you to have. They expect the work life balance to be balanced all towards work. The company seems to want the employees to work themselves until they burnout and then replace the employee and repeat the burnout cycle. The health benefits for a family cost more that my mortgage each month. When the company is owned by an investment firm they only care about profit, and it really shows.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees. It will save you money in the long run. Replacing employees costs US firms an average of $65,000 per employee for recruiting and training. Look into this. Find out how to treat employees better, starting with the benefits package. Chuck has a great head for business!

    Pros

Flexible schedule when needed, weekends and holidays off, understanding supervisors/management

    Cons

The hourly pay we get does not come close to matching the complex work we are expected to do. We are supposed to be responsible for customer satisfaction, but we don't get paid accordingly.

    Advice to Management

Compensate your people to the level of the work you are expecting from them.
Make your employees feel more secure by getting work in the door!
The Employee Appreciation week was a weak attempt to make us feel valued. How about appreciating us all year by paying us according to the job we do! Maybe then morale would improve and stay high.
