I worked at Davison full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

Seems as the original crew that worked at Davison ( Pre - Boiler Room Era ) were great , honest , motivated people & spread as much of that around.

      Cons

Purposely taking money off people who are not smart enough to understand. Boiler Room style calls.

      Advice to Management

Be honest to employees, kept feeling like I was being manipulated and propaganda did not equal to the reality of the company.

I worked at Davison full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

It's hard to say what the Pros are of this company. You think a lot of ex employees would automatically say harsh things because they are indeed, ex employees. However this company is awful to work for.

      Cons

I felt that I was taking lots of money from people with them not getting much in return. Clients paid $800 for something that anyone could do with a thorough Google search. It's really sad. Then, they pay tens of thousands for a digital rendering and shotty prototype of their product. I know nothing is free, and there is being work done, and people need to make money, but there is no need for the amount they charge for...

      Advice to Management

No need for advice to the Management. They get everything handed to them on a silver platter. Advice for the company as a whole is to be more ethical to both your employees and clients. I don't see that happening, but just think on it!

      Cons

Route 28 traffic is deadly and poorly planned with 1 lane. Wtf

      Advice to Management

Gordon is doing a great job so far. Cut the deadwood and give your 54 top producers the leads that the firm hoppers don’t care about. Why keep dead wood around so long?

      Pros

      easy sales job for money

      Cons

      steals ideas and take them

      Advice to Management

Keep your integrity, don't take on assignments just for money but projects that can actually be built and come into fruition. Also don't tell them ideas without a lawyer present. I had an idea to create mobile apps, the company went in that direction and got rid of me so I wouldn't take credit.

      Davison Response

      December 15, 2017Employee Support

In response to the post titled “Manager of New Products” – the assertion that Davison “steals” ideas is blatantly false and defamatory. The confidentiality of submitted ideas is of paramount concern. Every person who submits an idea to Davison, whether they become a client or not, ...

      Pros

This description comes from the 'Creative' side of Inventionland, this review is not representative for the Sales team whom have their own issues, as they are not allowed to walk in Inventionland proper nor allowed to communicate to anyone in the Creative department. - Four day work week if you don't mind being in the office from 6am to 5pm. - Some departments have very easy standards. Between the lack of experience...

      Cons

Injudicious, family-owned upper management with more interests in holding their financial and social status, than actually turning a profit or investing in the future of their company. All is made for the glory of the Davison brand, in whatever incarnation it takes form, rather then actually providing a quality service and good reviews from clients. - Client work in all departments is rushed and second-rate, with the...

      Advice to Management

The middle management, who are long-term employees, are sensible people to work with. However, they have no decision making power outside day-to-day tasks. All direction comes from the Davison lineage, to occasionally baffling results. To those middle managers, know that you have my deepest respect and sympathy. The upper management however, is indefensibly inarticulate and obtuse. Born into wealth, this company is...

      Pros

You get your own office. They give some incentives to get some time off or to leave early.

      Cons

You take people's money and they get nothing for it. Bad leads. Management tries to brain wash employees

      I worked at Davison

      Pros

Awesome people. Cool job, listening to peoples ideas. It's an awesome environment with management helping you at every turn. Everyone wants to see you succeed, and you will form solid bonds with your clients.

      Cons

Script selling. Sometimes you doubt the ethics involved in the company. Everything is made apparent to the clients but at the same time they all believe their idea is the best one out there. The pay scale drops every month which isn't a big surprise but it makes things harder`

      Advice to Management

Work on the turn over, find a method that works and stick with it. constantly changing resources and call campaigns throws everything off especially when youre going to change it all over again in another month or two. Maybe hire a consulting firm to help with the turnover, your losing so much money training people that work for a few months and end up leaving.
