I worked at Davison full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Seems as the original crew that worked at Davison ( Pre - Boiler Room Era ) were great , honest , motivated people & spread as much of that around.

    Cons

Purposely taking money off people who are not smart enough to understand. Boiler Room style calls.

I worked at Davison full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It's hard to say what the Pros are of this company. You think a lot of ex employees would automatically say harsh things because they are indeed, ex employees. However this company is awful to work for.

    Cons

I felt that I was taking lots of money from people with them not getting much in return. Clients paid $800 for something that anyone could do with a thorough Google search. It's really sad. Then, they pay tens of thousands for a digital rendering and shotty prototype of their product. I know nothing is free, and there is being work done, and people need to make money, but there is no need for the amount they charge for something that costs merely nothing. The CEO of the company, George Davison, is extremely socially awkward. You never see him in the sales department, which I get, but still should be more active in that aspect. The President at the time of my employment, Frank Vescio micromanages, and teaches the higher ups to do the same. Nothing good ever comes out of micromanaging. I heard that he is no longer President though, so hopefully things have changed for the better. Also, as far as the leads go; the best ones go to the higher ups, who are already making bank to begin with. Then, they want to blame us paupers for not trying as hard as the higher ups. No, you just didn't give us the same tools as them not matter how much you want to say you didn't. DON'T BELIEVE THEM. I've always ended the few jobs I've had amicably-that's just the way I am, and have always been, but you innocent people considering this place deserve my time for this review. Save your time and effort, apply somewhere else!

    Davison Response

    Employee Support

In response to the post titled “Manager of New Products” – the assertion that Davison “steals” ideas is blatantly false and defamatory. The confidentiality of submitted ideas is of paramount concern. Every person who submits an idea to Davison, whether they become a client or not, does so under a Confidentiality Agreement in which Davison agrees to not disclose the idea without prior written authorization from the submitter. Davison doubts the person posting these comments is a former employee. If they were, he or she would have known that fact about the Confidentiality Agreements. Also, they would know that there has never been a position called “Manager of New Products”. Finally, the comments relating to the expansion of services to include application development is pointless. Such a broad concept is not the type of idea from which a person can claim ownership. Even if it were, all employees sign an employment agreement which contains the standard language about the corporate retention of work related intellectual property.
