Pros
Deepcell is at an incredibly exciting inflection point in its trajectory and there has never been a more exciting time to be a part of this incredibly talented team. There's a great energy as the company drives toward its next major milestone. The company is overhauling its old benefits plan and internal systems in favor of a newer and better ones, and pays competitively. It feels like we're maturing into a larger player and there's a lot of optimism that comes with that.
Cons
As with any company that is preparing to join the big leagues, there are growing pains that come with that: changes to processes and direction, changes to workforce, greater focus on deadlines, and increased pressure. It can be a stressful environment. The reality is change and evolution are essential for success and survival. While this isn't the environment for everyone, for those that thrive in a fast-paced, highly charged environment, this is a place where real change can be made. Since Deepcell is still an earlier stage start-up there's no 401k match or bonus.

Pros
Some of the most talented coworkers I've had the pleasure of working with. Tackling some of the most cutting-edge problems in the field of bioinformatics.
Cons
Management doesn't have a clear focus or definition for expectations. Priorities often change on a weekly basis. Decisions are never decisively made, and as a result, the same discussions get revisited on a regular basis and almost no progress gets made. Everyone is forced into a reactive buck-passing stance because management won't be decisive about what they want and stick to it.
