Enough work was present to allow for OT. Flexible work environment within shop. Good starting pay with added bonuses.
Cons
Management does not follow their own policies and procedures. The California location is the only shop that is 100% supported, compared to the Ohio location that was never managed correctly. The manager was not correctly delegating duties, as he would leave the shop and have his subordinates pick up the slack in his duties that went unfinished, on top of doing the mechanic/forman tasks. A lot was pushed under the table during COVID, and as I continued to question the ethics of my manager, he now had a reason to lay me off due to cutbacks. The mechanic at that time is now the shop manager, who then called me back to try and give me my old forman position back, even though I had already done his management position while the original manager was out of office, and that I actually have accredited hours in business management through school, which is something the new manager has none of. The company plays favoritism, plain and simple. The owner is too busy golfing and not paying enough attention to the small amount of employees he has on his payroll. Do better.
