Pros
I have been working in DevBlock for 5 years and would like to share some impressions about the working environment at DevBlock Vietnam:
- Space and Facilities: Our office is located in a building near the airport, which is convenient for commuting. The interior is cozy, decorated every holiday season, and has a separate decor and pantry area.
- People & Culture: It feels like a second family, not just colleagues. Every team member always supports each other, and achievements are recognized and shared. After work, there are events such as team building and happy hour.
- Management and Leadership Team: The PMs and LMs leads are all experienced, supporting development and sharing knowledge. Soft-skill training is focused so that each member can contribute at the highest quality.
- Benefits: DevBlock focuses on employee benefits with policies such as premium insurance, bonding events, English and technical classes. Training should be strengthened to improve qualifications.
- Promoting Personal Skills: DevBlock has always been persistent in its focus on human development. Maintaining an environment where people are facilitated to learn continuously and effectively. The company encourages participation in industry events and seminars, helping employees access the latest trends and build their professional networks. This not only helps improve professional knowledge but also opens up new opportunities in their careers.
- Working Hours: Flexible, little OT, and if OT is required, the company calculates working hours or rewards by leave days depending on the situation.
I always appreciate the efforts of each DevBlock member, demonstrated through the development support policy and flexible working hours.
Cons
- Not enough space for pantry and engagement activities
- As an outsourcing company, DevBlock sometimes lacks of coherence and cooperation among teams. Each team works in the circle of that team.
- Social insurance is not full 100%
- Less space for relaxing and recreation.
