    Pros

    It’s a job, you get a discounted television package if you like being called a technician and asked to commit fraud, this is the place for you!

    Cons

    Weather, no time off, they treat you like chattle. They say you get sick days but you’ll be punished if you use them.

    Pros

    Meeting new customers everyday, not the same day twice, discounted direct tv .

    Cons

    No balance between work/home life , scorecard means more then your job , repeat service calls for to many reasons not caused by tech but still a negative to your scorecard , no help with scorecard from management, get wrote up for low score and wait to be fired. Very very high turn over on techs .

    Learn to have some respect for techs , care about workers that actually are trying to do their best instead of watching them fail and talk about them when their not around

    Pros

    DTV full rights for a minimal price, love my staff and team on a regular basis. Benefits are average, bonuses average, Paid Sick and Vacation time based on tenure with the company. Pay raises based on performance reviews for salaried employees. Technicians get free vehicles, all maintenance and insurance paid. Paid as they perform and all of the above as well. Also, there are ways to make "Extra Money" if we would like to sell DTV to friends/Family/customer relatives, the techs also get extra pay for Protection Plans they sell. They (technicians) are paid on production, which means the more they work, the better they work, the more they get paid for the work they perform.

    Cons

    Technicians believe that they should only drive within "their" limits. Many areas are covered by one office and we send techs to the work, they don't like drive times between jobs. However, as stated above, they do not pay for gas, insurance, maintenance, vehicle. All equipment and most attire is given to them without costs to their personal pockets.

    Take advice from all team and staff members.

    I have been working at DirectSat USA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    DirectSat pays very well. I am a satellite technician and I bring in around $70,000 per year, on average, which is pretty good where I live for not needing a degree. If you are willing to put in the hard work, you will be rewarded. Management sticks with you. If you are put in a tough situation with a customer, management will get you out of their. They really do care about your personal safety. If a customer wants you to put your personal safety at risk, your supervisor will always take your side and will never force you to do anything unsafe.

    Cons

    You work. A lot. You work 6 days a week all summer long, sometimes even a 5 month stretch. Then you work 6 days a week for a couple months in winter. You have far more 6 day weeks than 5 day weeks in the year. On the weeks where you do work 5 days, you dont get two days off in a row. I personally have Sunday and Wednesday off when I am on 5 days. Benefits are decent, but nothing special. Management makes less than techs, so if you want to move up in the company, expect a pay cut.

    Advice to Management

    I have no complaints about my management situation. They do their job, I do mine, there are no quarrels.
